Mid-Atlantic bloom time: May - June

Pink Valerian can be found in nutrient-rich soils of floodplain forests and river-fronting slopes. It reaches the southern limit of its distribution in the East along the Potomac River.

The specific epithet "pauciflora" is Latin meaning "few flowered".
