Yellow Sweetclover flowers are yellow, with their keel petal slightly shorter than the wing petals.

It is native to Eurasia. Yellow Sweetclover's genus Melilotus is closely related to the clover genus Trifolium and is often refered to as "clover" in common usage. Melilotus species leaves are similar to clover but narrower, the leaflets only about half as wide as long, and have a serrated margin.
