Slender False Foxglove is named for its narrow leaves, which have a purplish pigment. Its purple flowers are held up by pedicels that are more than 2.5 times as long as their calyx, and the upper lip of the corolla is arched forward over the stamens (not erect or reflexed). The corolla throat is glabrous or nearly so.
